  2. Work background

    I think it will be very helpfull if the app will work if my device is locked but conected to internet. It will be great if will work like whats app, on background.

  3. Comparable feature list

    Hi,
    I'm using CS on my adroid phone, chatting with other android users.
    Sadly, none of my iOS using friends does so.

    This is due to the fact that (about one year ago) friends who gave CS on iOS a try didn't realy like it that time.
    They missed features on iOS, i didn't on android.(CS related :P )

    So, time has passed and i'd realy like to encourage some of my friends to give CS on iOS a try, again.
    But as i do not have any apple device, I'm not able to test wether this version fits our…

  5. Allow for OTR key managment

    There should be a way for general management of OTR certificates (those stored on the mobile device). For example, one should be able to generate new certificates (as well as import, as some ideas have already suggested), view stored certs (presumably associated with your "buddies"/contacts), and be able to delete/verify/unverify any cert as required from this list. Any thoughts?

    Just make the app on iOS 7/8 look more native and flat.

  9. Why do I HAVE to use google or Facebook??

    Why can't I simply register with my phone number like whatsApp? Or even sign in with a user name and password?
    Login with Facebook/google account should be optional.

    I have switched from Port 5222 to 5223 and i can't connect to the server. Other clients work successful.

  20. Background Process

    I really want to make SecureChat my go-to Android and iOS chat application, but I can't because of the 10 minutes background timeout on iOS.

    Check out the Gliph app. Clearly not as secure as SecureChat since it has a proprietary protocol, but somehow (push notifications?) they are able to remain in the background of my iOS device indefinitely.

    I know you are based on the FAQ entry, but please consider implementing a background/push feature in an upcoming version.
