  1. File sharing encryption

    I would like to be able to send encrypted files or photos or attachments. That'd be a nice feature. Right now, this app lacks the capability.

    Just a minor gripe: when using this software with Swedish menus, half of the menu text items do not show correctly because the text is too long.

  5. Why not use iOS 7 Multitasking / Background App Refresh?

    I am not a developer and I am not too deep into iOS7. But can't you keep the app's session alive by using iOS 7's new multitasking features / Background App Refresh? Or is this feature-set reserved for another type of app? Thanks for the excellent work so far.

    there should be an option to import otr keys, because I often change my client, and I want to be able to decrypt the messages on all clients

    Can an online list be added? currently it only shows offline and recent and you have to manually search to check if someone is online

    Can the app itself be password protected or if tats not possible then section within app can be protected like certain chat or complete chat section.

  10. Names switching to numbers

    Hello!

    Infortunately, users names switch to their id number, at least for facebook contacts, which is annoing as you obviously dont know which one corresponds to whom!! :)))

    But great alternative to all messagings programs!!

  11. No feedback on failed "Initiate encrypted chat"

    If the other person is typing from Facebook and I try to initiate an otr session, it should say "person not using chatsecure". Would also be good to filter only contacts who are. Better yet: for marketing, if I try to initiate otr and the person is not on a compatible client, send them a plaintext msg linking to ChatSecure.

    I imagine iOS 7 Beta is not supported yet, understandable.

    But if it helps, app does not show up in notification center selections. Just a heads up.

  14. Notification of encryption status

    pidgin-otr notifies us of each step so we can see where the encryption portion is getting stuck (if it's getting stuck) and we also know with direct visual feedback whether the remote end even supports OTR. There's no apparent notification of OTR solicitation in ChatSecure but it sure would be nice!

  15. connection fails with iphone but succeed with IPad

    If i try to connect to my ejabberd server from my iphone i get the error massage that i have to check my connection and my login credentials. But with the same settings on my IPad i works fine.

  17. Cannot connect to my Mountain Lion jabber server. Adium connects just fine using the exact same settings.

Failed to connect to XMPP server. Please check your login credentials and internet connection and try again." Note that I'm able to connect to this same server using the same account with Monal.

    Logs are disappearing when logged out, although I have the 'delete on log out' feature turned off after recent patch.

    I can understand that some may prefer a "unified" account management, but for a secure chat program not being able to manage accounts independently is almost unacceptable.
