How can we improve ChatSecure - Android?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  2. Github AND Bugtracker?

    I don't quite understand why there is Github and Bugtracker for CS support. Wouldn't it be better to disable one, so that all questions and bug reports are in just one place?

  3. Explain what the "Offline" off/on switch does

    As far as I can tell it doesn't do anything.

  4. Explain what the different message colors mean

    I assume it has to do with encryption and/or contact verification status, but that's just a guess.

  7. "About" menu

    almost all apps and software have a "about" menu item with the app version number and some further information / links about the app.
    I know that I can also go to F-Droid or Google Play Store to find some further info, but the "about" menu item would make it easier for the user and it's standard in all apps.

  8. Enterkey sending to be made optional. Touchtyping on touchscreen never without typos! Backspace and enter are close!

    Love the app, my only disturbance is SENDing a message when I try to CORRECT a typo, because ENTER-key sends what's typed. Make it optional!

  9. What does activate keysync mean?

    I don't really understand what the option "activate keysync" means. It appears in the context menu of every conversation. Can anyone explain?

  10. When playing audio files direct the audio to the phone's earpiece - not speaker.

    I think the ability to send encrypted audio files is excellent. However having the audio played via a phone's earpiece instead of the speaker would be preferable for obvious reasons.

  11. Hangouts in steroids...

    Keep the security features where 90% of Facebook chat, Google Hangout users aren't interested in. add group chat moderation.. Creator/moderator of group chat can kick people... Add existing features in your webpage so people don't have to install for knowing the features... Is it possible to send position? Picture?
