How can we improve ChatSecure - Android?

Fix disconnection issues

I run ChatSecure and it seems to disconnect me frequently. I have "Use Foreground Priority" checked (and get the icon in the notification area), and have the Heartbeat interval set to the default (1 minute). Yet still it disconnects frequently. This makes ChatSecure really unhelpful. Is this an Android background process limitation? A bug?

    Loosing the connection is not that great;
    but the bigger problem is, you loosing messages because of that.
    XEP-0198 could solve this i guess
    (not loosing messages because of connectivity issues).

    Sadly this is not (yet) implemented into chatsecure :(

    I have lost messages from my friends because of this. If only there was a way to keep the connection from breaking then I wouldn't have to rely on proprietary closed source applicafions.
