    Gibberbot did not support sending pictures or files, so I am not sure what you mean.

    On/offline state on the Accounts screen allows you to connect or disconnect from your account. If it is off, you should be seen as "offline" by your contacts, and not be able to receive or send messages.

    If encryption is on, then it is encrypted. It is required that the other person you are chatting with is also using an encryption-enabled app, like ChatSecure, Xabber, Pidgin, Adium, etc... so when it shows "On" or in the new v13 beta a locked icon, it is encrypted.

    Verified just means that you have taken an extra step to ensure no one is trying to intercept your encrypted messages.

    Our concept of "End Chat" is to delete the chat, since ChatSecure is trying to err on the side of caution, and not keeps logs of encrypted messages around.

    We currently have no "Close Chat" or "Hide Chat" feature that is separate from "End Chat". We will consider adding it though if people feel the two types of "closing" are necessary.

  6. Why is there still a "Verify" option for a contact I've already verified?

    It should probably read "View Fingerprints" since you may want to still have access to that information later.

    You will only know if they have answered correctly. The state will switch to verified (green or soon purple in v13!)
